I have stayed at the Trail Drive Inn every September, December, and May for over 7 years. In every instance, I have been more than pleased with the facility and service.
Last week, however, I was horrified to return to my room to find that the maid had discarded (and, it ultimately transpired, incinerated) an entire carton of confidential papers that I had left on the credenza in my room. I spoke to the front desk clerk, who kindly tore up my bill. Nevertheless, I wish to make sure this costly and personally embarrassing episode is not repeated. Please note in your records that on subsequent stays, my room is to be cleaned, but that nothing, including the contents of wastebaskets, is to be removed until I check out.
